ABOUT K.P.
Kevin Patrick Mercier is a second year undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida earning a bachelor's degree in history with a minor in theatre. This degree will also include credits from both the University of Florida and the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville.

K.P. became interested in the discipline of history during his high school years, falling in love with analyzing the past through basic AP American and European history classes. These classes stoked his interest in the reading of different histories, from the history of the Holy Roman Empire to more niche subjects such as the history of professional wrestling (his favorite book is Death of the Territories by Tim Hornbaker). K.P. also became interested in traveling to pursue his historical interests, such as visting Gettysburg or the Skógar Museum in Iceland.

Following his education, Mercier would like to pursue a career in the historical discipline, preferably in public histry. Mercier believes that educating the next generation in history is essential for a better human understanding of the world, society, and ourselves.
